This past weekend was Youth Conference. I was one of the lucky leader from our ward who accompanied the Young Women. Can I just say that I had a great time?
I thought it would be awful, with too little sleep and too much chaperoning and getting on the girls' case. But although I got very little sleep and was out in the sun and the heat for a long long time, the girls were wonderful. Did what they needed to do without having to be asked or nagged. Any leader's dream!
And I was also worried about leaving my baby for so long. (Okay, only a day and a half, but still...she's my baby.) I needn't have worried, though--she took a few hours to warm up to me once I got back! She had a great time with my mom, my sister, and my husband. Thanks guys for stepping in!
Although the weekend was fun, I am so tired. I am fatigued most of the time these days, but I was afraid for awhile I wasn't going to make it. I think I walked more on Friday than I have in about a year. That was my exercise for the week! But I have survived. And this week will be a week of relaxation in the King house.
